This is the official community hub for people in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis & St.
Paul metro area) of Minnesota who practice, teach and apply InterPlay
in their every day lives.
What if life didn’t hafta be sooooooo hard?!
That’s the motto of InterPlayers around the world. We believe in
play and ease and possibility.
InterPlay is a helpful means to
- reconnect your body and spirit
- explore the wisdom of the body
- develop a deeper knowledge of yourself and your particular talents
InterPlay offers a chance to explore personal development, leadership,
creativity, community, and playing with movement, voice and storytelling.
Plus, it’s all about FUN!

The Twin Cities InterPlay community's many teachers offer
classes and special
events at
various times during the year.
Most classes
and events are for beginners.
Advanced classes focus on particular forms and skills, such as:
- creative writing
- contact/lifting
- drawing and collage
- vocalization and music making
- performance skills
Several times during the year, we gather the entire Twin
Cities InterPlay community together for a glorious day of PLAY! Community
Day is a wonderful opportunity to share our Body Spirits, witness
each other, and refresh ourselves with playful abandon. Check

After you've taken at least one set of classes from a certified InterPlay
Leader, we have vibrant, on-going
Play Groups that meet weekly and
provide a great space to practice.
We also periodically host an “Untensive” (the
opposite of Intensive!). This is a multiple-day opportunity for play,
community, relaxation, and reflection, usually held at a retreat center
(where someone else is doing the cooking!) and often features InterPlay
Leaders from other parts of the world. Beginning and advanced
InterPlayers are welcome to attend Untensives.
For people who aren’t satisfied with simply dabbling in InterPlay,
and want to jump in with both feet and a smile, InterPlay offers a
Leadership Program.
