For use in Coaching, Art, Supervision, Mentoring, Spiritual Direction and Peer Support

Saturday, May 11, 2019 • 9:30 am-4:30 pm

Are you curious about offering a focus session to peers or in your line of work? Would you like to witness or receive a focus session but don't want to lead any?

Many say that the InterPlay focus session is the most transformative part of their InterPlay journey. Focus sessions offer a unique way to play with something with the undivided attention of a facilitator. Just 30 minutes in length, they may or may not include the power of being witnessed by an affirming community.

Cynthia will position this approach that offers the understanding that we are creating, not healing. Release expectation of working on our hard stuff. Trust the person to bring what they want. The time can be spent inviting light-heartedness, building a skill, sharing pride in being good at something, gently nurturing oneself, resting, etc, or asking our body wisdom for guidance.

Saturday, May 11, 2019, 9:30-1, bag lunch 1-2, 2-4:30
Cynthia will introduce the elegant, down to earth focus session process that includes movement, storytelling forms, and noticing. Trusting the wisdom of the body, we will practice being an affirming witness and how to suggest forms.

You will have an opportunity to guide a participant, notice the different needs and styles of focus sessions, and consider ways your body wisdom can be useful in affirming others.

Bring Lunch to share.
