Learn how body wisdom tools address both professional demands and personal challenges, how creativity can be the path to insight and health, and build connections as you gain support from colleagues and share your body wisdom.

The InterPlay Way starts with a weekend retreat followed by six half-day sessions spread over three months.You'll learn fundamentals of the InterPlay system, whether new to InterPlay or not. Followup sessions are limited to 8 people.

CathyAnn Beaty

CathyAnn Beaty, MDiv, is a master InterPlay leader, dancer and visual artist. She has been working with ongoing groups of therapists, clergy and other helping professionals for the past 12 years through her business SoulPlay, www.soulplay.org and has developed new approaches to healing based both on her professional and personal experience. CathyAnn is an ordained minister and began her InterPlay journey in 1989 when serving as pastor at Spirit of the Lakes UCC. She got her Masters of Divinity at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in 1984 and did her Clinical Pastoral Education at Hennipen County Medical Center in Minneapolis. She served three parishes over 15 years. CathyAnn leads the InterPlay Life Practice Program, The InterPlay Way, performance workshops, couples classes, mentors leaders in training and directs SoulPlay Performance Ensemble. She has taught InterPlay in India, Austrailia and around the United States.

Sheila K Collins

Sheila K. Collins is the director of InterPlay Pittsburgh, an organization which coordinates, produces, and directs InterPlay activities in the Pittsburgh area. She also directs the Wing & A Prayer Pittsburgh Players, an InterPlay-based performance group.

Sheila describes herself as a dancing social worker. A former professional dancer, she has taught social work at three universities and co-founded and directed a behavioral health care clinic in Fort Worth Texas. After initiating InterPlay in four cities in Texas, she moved to Pittsburgh with her husband Richard Citirn, (also an InterPlayer), in June 2005.

She is the author of numerous articles and the book, Stillpoint: The Dance of Selfcaring, Selfhealing" and a new manuscript Dancing On Behalf of Life and Death.

A 'recovering serious person', she finds the tools and spiritual discipline of InterPlay most helpful in getting through life's ordinary, and extraordinary, "tough stuff."
