Cultures of Peace

Untensive Retreat
Masankho Banda

Ashland, OR

One Weekend Jan 29-31, 2010 • Fri 1 pm thru Sun 4 pm

Join us and be ready to dance, sing, tell stories or be still. We will spend the weekend laughing perhaps crying, but we sure will have lot of fun and most importantly, we will discover how to be more peaceful within ourselves and within our community.

InterPlay is an active creative approach to unlocking the wisdom of the body. It's an international community arts network. It is used to uplift inherent creativity and resourcefulness, build bridges and promote peace. We play with our unique ethnicity, spirituality, geography, learning styles, sexuality, economics, gifts and challenges.

In the weekend, we dance with those who are different---side by side, one at a time, walking, stopping, and running, we sing, we dance, babble, shout and tell stories to applauding witnesses.

This is how we change the world.

With Interplay's easy, fun, life affirming approach you will be pleasantly surprised at what you will experience when people of different cultures and ideologies come together to sing, dance and share their heartfelt stories. All abilities welcome. No experience necessary. Cultures of Peace are indeed possible. InterPlay is happening in over 50 cities and on 5 continents. InterPlay playgroups, retreats, and Life Practice Programs are opportunities to have fun and connect with others. InterPlay is also applied in prisons and recovery centers, therapy practices, and hospice work. It is increasingly used in organizational development and community building, cross-cultural peacemaking, and as a personal spiritual practice.
