The Spiritual Director's International Conference in San Francisco is drawing InterPlayers from around the world including Anne Bailey, Jane Vennard, Betsey Beckman, Prashant Olaleker, and Christine Painter. Join these leaders and Cynthia Winton-Henry in using InterPlay to pray, play, meditate and reflect on body wisdom in spiritual direction. We'll bless and celebrate Betsey and Christine's new book Awakening the Creative Spirit (full of InterPlay tools!).
Stay afterward for dinner out or ordering in and then attend the first session of the InterPlay and Mindfulness series featuring Cynthia, Connors McConville, Chinh Nguyen and Prashant Olalekar in the evening.

InterPlayce is the center of the InterPlay universe. The offices for Body Wisdom, Inc. are also located here. The building is at the corner of 23rd and Telegraph, one block north of West Grand. It is just a few blocks from the 19th Street Downtown Oakland BART station, and on several convenient bus lines. On-street parking is always available at night and metered during the day. It is also easily accessible by several of the major freeways.

Cynthia Winton-Henry, M.Div., co-founded InterPlay and Body Wisdom, Inc., with Phil Porter. Her interest in supporting body and soul led her to curate the Hidden Monastery Online Dance Chapels and courses for those seeking the spiritual intelligence needed for our time at cynthiawinton-henry.com.. As an artist, auhtor and mentor, she can be found on Substack at The Dancing Center where her research into "what the body wants" in community arts, shelters, churches, businesses, classrooms, and everyday life led her to create the somatic curricula she needs to address racism, leadership for the Earth, and the Arts of Ensoulment. Betsey Beckman
Betsey Beckman, MM travels internationally and brings the tools of InterPlay wherever she goes - as dancer, storyteller, and spiritual director, as well as retreat, workshop and pilgrimage leader. With her extensive background in performance, movement therapy, ministry and InterPlay, she has often been featured as artist/presenter at national conventions as well as local churches. Betsey’s storydance series of DVDs feature riveting performances and include participatory InterPlay workshops to break open the scriptural stories with embodiment. She's become a fabulous video editor with four collections of dance prayer DVDs available through her collaboration with Abbey of the Arts. Betsey's co-authored book, Awakening the Creative Spirit: Bringing the Arts to Spiritual Direction, offers numerous InterPlay exercises for integrating into soul-care ministries. She has been leading SpiritPlay classes in the Seattle community for the past 20 plus years, and has been a member of the local InterPlay Sounding Board for most of those years as well. Betsey offers the gift of playful improvisation whenever possible!
