During our visit in Brazil we will have opportunity to experience and partake in Brazilian Cultural activities, visit important historical and geographic sites and have a Cultures of Peace InterPlay Untensive. In addition we will participate in International Day of Peace festivities, September 20th and 21st. You have seen Brazilian Culture on television and in film, join us and experience it in person.
September 15th – Travel to Porto Alegre
September 16th – group arrives and rests in Bento Goncalves
September 17th –Visit Vineyards Valley, Stone Tracks and Ferradura Valley in Bento Goncalves
September 18th – Cultures of Peace Unintensive with whole group and Brazilians.
September 19th – Cultural tours and Celebration of the International Day of Peace in Porto Alegre
September 20th – Tour of Porto Alegre and join Gaucho Holiday Parade. International Theatre Festival evening in Porto Alegre
September 21st – International Day of Peace Festivities
September 22nd – Cultures of Peace Performance in Gramado+ some leisure time for exploring (German Immigration).
September 23rd – Cultures of Peace mini workshop with whole group and Performance Festival in Caxias do Sul
September 24th, 25th, Bento Goncalves – International Day of Peace Celebration
September 26th – Return home

Masankho is a multi - disciplinary Performing Artist, Certified InterPlay Leader, Educator and PeaceBuilder. He brings many unique perspectives to his work around the world. He learned the fine arts of storytelling and dance from his Malawian culture spending many long days and nights listening to stories and dancing to music that captivated his mind, shaped his being, nourished his soul and strengthened his spirit. Using performing arts Masankho motivates and inspires people of all ages to work together to bring about peace, social justice and cultural understanding. In 1997, he started UCanDanc—African Healing Arts to bring his passion for dance and storytelling to communities around the world. Masankho has been a Certified InterPlay Leader since 1999.
