Free Million Connections Celebration and FUN-draiser

Phil Porter and Theron Shaw

St. Paul, MN

Wednesday, April 27, 12:30pm-1:30pm

We have a lot to celebrate! InterPlay has now happened on all seven continents (thank you to Seattle InterPlayer Krista Harris for visiting Antarctica!), the Million Connections Campaign has reached over 200,000 connections and raised over $300,000, and new connections are happening all over the place! Come hear what’s been happening in the global InterPlay scene over the past year, and what visions are shaping up for the coming year. We’ll have lunch and do some dreaming together of what might be in store for the Minnesota InterPlay community. This FUN-draiser event will also directly benefit InterPlay development and activity in the Minnesota region. To register online, Click Here.

Leaders
Phil Porter
Phil is one of the founders of InterPlay. He is a teacher, performer, writer, and organizer. With Cynthia Winton-Henry he is the co-founder of WING IT! Performance Ensemble, and has written several books, some in collaboration with Cynthia, including Having It All: Body, Mind, Heart & Spirit Together Again at Last and The Slightly Mad Rantings of a Body Intellectual Part One. Phil is particularly interested in the use of InterPlay in organizational life, and believes that InterPlay can be a powerful tool to create communities of diversity and peace.
Theron Shaw
Theron has been involved with InterPlay since about 2003, first in Seattle, WA and later in Oakland, CA as a member of the WingIt! Performance Ensemble. Back in the day, he performed as a modern dancer, aerialist, musician, actor and improviser. Now he occasionally plays one of his flutes with his toddler son Solomon.

Theron serves as Director of Development for InterPlay, coordinating fundraising and friendraising efforts throughout the InterPlay community. He loves fundraising because it’s a place where head, heart, community and action all intersect. He has worked in non-profit administration and fundraising since 1995, holds a Master’s degree in Public Affairs, and is a Certified Fundraising Executive.

Theron Shaw is also founder and principal of Theron Shaw Fundraising, where he helps non-profits with fundraising strategy and major gifts.

He lives with his wife Elizabeth, his son Solomon and their dog Bear on Vashon Island, near Seattle, Washington.
