Our House of Sacred Stories: Body and Soul

Cynthia Winton-Henry

Seattle, WA

Friday, Oct. 14th 7-9 pm; Saturday, Oct. 15th 9:30 am to 4:30 pm

The Sacred shows up in many forms. Sometimes we can articulate what we know, sometimes not. Are you ready to honor the holy as it is revealed in body, mind, heart, and spirit? To see Spirit in others? To make an offering of your part of the story?

Cynthia Winton-Henry, cofounder of InterPlay, offers practices and ideas to unlock the wisdom of body and soul. Learn the secrets of embodiment in presentations, creative experiences, and reflection. Journey into the five arenas of universal body wisdom: movement, voice, word, stillness, and connection.

In this Spirithouse there is room for faith and no faith, the simple and extraordinary, the recognizable and mysterious, the contemplative and flamboyant, the funny and sad.

Friday night: Rebuilding the Spirit House: Body Mind Heart Spirit Stories

In the United States we see that we are cut off from ancestral dances, songs and oral histories. We don't trust our bodies or the earth body. Even though every religious tradition carries deep body wisdom, we struggle to practice it. We need to rebuild from the ground up, nourish our roots and trunk, our body and soul. Cynthia shares fragments of her own story captured in her book Chasing the Dance of Life: A Faith Story, shares the cornerstone idea of InterPlay, and offers simple practices to receive and share the sacred.

Saturday: Sacred Story-telling: Does You Body Have Something to Say?

Tour the house of many forms and many Wisdoms: Movement, Voice and Breath, Words, Contact, Stillness. See what your bodyspirit is ready to offer.

Cost: $65 for full event or $20 for Friday and $50 for Saturday.
