Creative Peacebuilding - Celebrating the International Day of Peace

Opportunities to engage in collaborative and transformative ways through storytelling, stillness, music and movement. Art has the potential to be deeply engaging and provide creative opportunities for intercultural interaction. Intercultural Peace and Justice students of the Integrative Studies Across Cultures (ISAC) of Holy Names University are going to experience InterPlay forms learning how to promote dialogue and contribute to intercultural understanding. Arabic “Salaam” Portuguese "Paz" Spanish "La Paz" English "Peace" Hindi “Shanti” Russian “Mir” Aramaic “Shlama” Chinese “P’ing” Zulu "Ukuthula" Hebrew “Shalom”. At 12:00 noon Nadia will perform " Silent Minute Peace" honoring the minute of silence for the World Peace Day connecting to the entire planet in all time zones.

Nadia Thalji is Interplay's ambassador to Brazil and South America! Nadia Khalil Thalji is an InterPlay International Leader (Founder in Brazil), MA in Cultural Studies and Spirituality, PhD student in Depth Clinical Psychology (currently enrolled), Professional Theatre Artist, active in community development and university teaching (Brazil and the US). Co - Director and performer of Constellation Performance Ensemble with Masankho Banda (Africa). Founder of InSpiralCenter promoting intercultural awareness, cross-cultural entrepreneur and creative embodied practices. She's interested in EcoPsychology, Cultural Diversity, Cuntural Competency and the Expressive Arts. Her special interests are facilitating workshops that can nurture creativity, innovation, social justice and cultural understanding. Mentor of "Cultural Diversity Celebration" and the "International Day of Peace"(UNESCO) held in Brazil and the US.
