Share creations inspired by the “Moving Words: InterPlay Poetry Playshop” or just come to play, or witness! First, learn InterPlay forms that are fun to perform and artful to watch. Then, sit back and savor your experience as a Witness, supporting the performers with the spirit of Affirmation. Or, let your bodyspirit pull you up to tell, move, or sing a story, make something up on the spot, join in someone else's offering, or call for an InterPlay form for the joy of it! No experience needed; just a willingness to explore and have FUN!

See site website for map and picture. Directions to the Asheville Friends (Quaker) Meetinghouse: From I-240, take exit #5, Merimmon Ave. Head north, away from downtown. Turn Left at the CVS onto Edgewood. Go just a couple blocks. You'll see Chatham St heading off to the left. Turn RIGHT directly across and after that, onto a gravel driveway up a hill, with a small sign for "Asheville Friends Meeting" above a low stone wall. The Meetinghouse is set back and not clearly visible from the road. Plenty of parking in the gravel lot. Yay! You made it!

Terry McCarthy
Terry McCarthy is a musician, teacher, performing artist with 20 years’ experience teaching InterPlay. He is a founding member of Off the Deep End Ensemble and former director of Inner Voices vocal ensemble. He and his wife Laurece West led InterPlay performance troupe Impromptu Players. Laurece and Terry write and perform their original songs together.
Terry is a former elementary school teacher with a BS degree in Arts for Children with Music Emphasis. He teaches InterPlay playgroups, performance, storytelling and writing classes.
Terry has served as a bodyspirit mentor with the Raleigh InterPlay Life Practice Program for over 6 years.
