Embodied Spirituality is a four day course offered through the Certificate in Spiritual Formation Program at Columbia Theological Seminary. It is a container to explore the body/spirit connection intellectually as weill as pracitally thorugh embodied practice. Course participants will consider the body as the primary instrument of learning and knowing and as being central to a connection with, and experience of, God. The course will look deeply at what it means to be a human person made in the image of God (personal) and the body of Christ (communal) and participate in bringing the kingdom of God (social justice). It will integrate the physical, intellectual, and spiritual realms in content and practice. InterPlay ideas and practice will weave through the course inviting holistic faith formation and Christian living necessary for complex times. People of all abilities are welcome to participate in ways that are safe, suitable, and enjoyable.
Those who complete the pre- and post-course assignments will receive credit toward the Certificate in Spiritual Formation. This course is open to everyone – certificate and non-certificate participants.

Course will meet in the Harrington Center where rooms are also available for staying the weekend. The nearest parking is off Inman Drive which just north of the Seminary. More information will be sent with registration.
