FINDING HOME

An InterPlay Concert of Dance, Story and Song

Raleigh, NC

Saturday, January 26, 7:30 p.m.

Mairi Campbell, Scottish singer/violist and songwriter, will be the featured artist along with Off The Deep End Ensemble at a concert of music, dance and story. The theme of Finding Home is based on one of Mairi’s compositions.

From her home base in Edinburgh, Mairi has performed all over the world and won numerous awards for her music including Scots Singer of the Year at the Scots Traditional Music Awards and Female Musician of the Year and Best Compositin of the Year at the Live Ireland Music Awards. Jim Gilchrist of Edinburgh’s The Scotsman newspaper writes “Campbell’s voice can stop the clock….there is a pervading sense of renewal and even transcendence….”.

Off The Deep End is an ensemble of experienced improv artists from the Triangle who use the InterPlay technique to create concerts that explore the wonder of being human through original dance, music, story and song.
