InterPlay Retreat in the Redwoods

Return to that Summer Feeling
John Diller, Laurie Adams, and James Schattauer

Philo, CA

Arrive after 3 p.m. Friday, August 19th, stay through lunch on Sunday, 8/21

Give yourself a fun, relaxing weekend retreat in the redwoods, with the beauty and quiet of the outdoors and the easy community of InterPlayers. InterPlay Leaders John Diller and James Schattauer will facilitate a weekend of ease, connection, and that cherished summer feeling of long, lazy days in great company. John will get everyone playing enthusiastically, James will bring an extra measure of music and music making to the weekend, and Laurie Adams, embodied Earth-wisdom teacher and owner/manager of the River’s Bend retreat center will also lend her presence and shaping. River’s Bend will provide us with delicious meals, and we’ll play and create, swim in the river, soak up the beauty, share stories, sing, relax, and listen to the crickets.

River cabins, pleasant rooms in the lodge, and tent camping make it an affordable weekend: depending on lodging choice, $170 to $265 covers lodging for both nights and all meals Friday night through Sunday lunch. For tuition, $150 is the recommended donation, but please simply pay what you can.

The weekend takes place at River’s Bend retreat center on the Navarro River, nestled in wine country beauty near the town of Philo, 30 minutes from Northern California's scenic Pacific Ocean and about three hours from Oakland and San Francisco. You are welcome to arrive at 3 p.m. or later on Friday. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. and we will gather as a group afterwards. We will leave after lunch on Sunday.

If you’re interested in attending, please let John or James know, so your space and preferred lodging can be reserved. Lodging options (including both nights and 6 meals) are: Tent camping $170, Tent Cabin $190, Rustic Cabin $235, Vintage Cabin or room in the Lodge $265. Please ask about special youth rates. No pets.
