He's My Brother and He's Crazy

Exploring Mental Health through Art
Sheila K Collins,PhD

PITTSBURGH, PA

Saturday, March 5, 2016, 3:00PM-5:00PM

Our expressive arts troupe, Wing & A Prayer Pittsburgh Players and guest artists will create a performance on the spot and in the moment using the Interplay forms of movement, music, song and storytelling, responding to the images and themes raised by the art pieces in Mindful. The show is about to close so don’t miss the opportunity to see the show, guided by these performance artists. See how “playing” with serious themes sometimes gets us further than “working” on them. Her latest book, The Art of Grieving: How Art and Artmaking Help Us Grieve, and Live Our Best Lives explores how the arts of storytelling, dance, music, and visual arts help mourners navigate episodes of grief, process loss, and extract meaning and wisdom for their future lives.
