Teaching Practicum In Washington DC

The Teaching Practicum is a multi–day workshop that includes practice teaching with self–evaluation and feedback from leaders and other participants, information on best practices in designing and leading InterPlay events, and teaching resources such as sample class outlines. It is a core component of the InterPlay Leader Training Program and is open to those who have attended a Secrets of Leading InterPlay and have enrolled in the Leader Training Program. Prior to attending a Teaching Practicum, participants are asked to complete parts of the InterPlay Core Elements Self-Study.

This is a non-residential event. A limited number of home stays may be available for out-of-town participants as well as hotel/motel options. For housing options, contact Kate Amoss at 301/681-8860 or katamoss@gmail.com.

Note: A $350 Leader Training Program tuition payment is due at the time you register for this Teaching Practicum. This amount is credited to your Leader Training Program tuition. Also a payment plan for the balance of the Leader Training Program tuition must be in place by the time you attend the Practicum. Automatic monthly payments can be set up by credit card through the Body Wisdom office or you can arrange that automatic checks be sent by your bank. The Practicum is also open to previously certified leaders who pay a reduced amount of $300.

Cost: $350 plus shared cost of space rental. For previously certified leaders, $300 plus shared cost of space rental.

Billy has been a certified InterPlay leader in the Washington, D.C. area for over 20 years. He delights in the power of InterPlay to bring us fully alive. Billy is the Executive Director of RVF, a DC-based non-profit development organization that finances and manages international children's health programs.
Kate Amoss
Kate Amoss, MA, LCPC, is an InterPlay Teacher and Professional Counselor in private practice. Trained in archetypal depth psychology, she has an abiding curiosity in all things hidden below surfaces -- deep roots, bedrock truths, neuro-biological processes, and ancestral antecedents. For her, InterPlay has offered the best toolbox of forms and practices with which to excavate the mysteries of ourselves and our world. She has decades of experience leading workshops, performances, and mentoring other InterPlayers. She co-founded The Big Yes Performance Group and co-led the InterPlay Life Practice Program in Washington DC.
