Neesha says..." I am a cross-pollinator ~ artist-activist ~ hugger ~ recovering perfectionist. I have been exploring and sharing movement including yoga, dance, capoeira and InterPlay for a while now. I've also been sharing sustainable living, mostly through food and farming, and lately through crafts. Sharing practices that cherish the body and earth are ways in which I participate in growing healthy, happy individuals and communities. I have a background in educational psychology and I'm currently exploring wildness with indigenous and land based communities as well as urban groups."
"In cities across India lately I've been most excited about offering play that allows people to care for themselves and others through inter-generational play and play that connect us with body-community-earth. I learn a lot of this from living with indigenous communities as well as through simple living and so I try to preserve and revalue these in the context of urbanization. I have led a day long workshop that included yoga, play, meditation, making and eating a simple rice salad lunch. I am inspired by Rumi's four essential practices- eating lightly, moving freely, breathing deeply, and gazing raptly and I hope this workshop will be an opportunity for that."
