30TH ANNIVERSARY INTERNATIONAL DAY OF INTERPLAY FUN(D)-RAISER CELEBRATION!
Sharie Bowman and TraceyJoy Miller

Seattle, WA

Sunday, October 27th 1:00-3:30 pm

Research has shown that improvisational play can help build resilience and create new possibilities and awareness. InterPlay Leader, TraceyJoy Miller will offer an experiential introduction to give you a taste of how InterPlay can make a difference in your life. Whether you are a parent, helping professional, activist, educator, or just trying to make it through these chaotic times, InterPlay can help you de-stress and put more play in your life.

It is also the day we will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the founding of InterPlay. InterPlay communities around the world are gathering during this week to celebrate InterPlay and raise money for scholarships. Come learn what is happening around the world in a special video that each community will see. There will be an opportunity to contribute to the InterPlay movement to provide more peace and play in the world.

Leaders
Sharie Bowman

Sharie Bowman, MA, LMHC is a Mental Health Counselor and also InterPlay's Regional Coordinator for the Pacific Northwest.  In 2006, Sharie completed her training as an InterPlay leader and also received her degree in mental health counseling, so InterPlay and counseling have been woven together in her bodyspirit from the start.  She finds InterPlay to be foundational in building and maintaining her personal resilience, as well supporting her work with clients.  In her private practice she regularly weaves InterPlay’s life-enhancing forms and philosophies with counseling wisdom to help individuals and families thrive.

Prior to 2006, Sharie worked as a high school math teacher and found InterPlay to be the best Teacher Training she ever received.  The improvisational skills that she developed immediately brought more play, creativity, and expression to her teaching as well as to classroom management.

Now Sharie finds great joy in bringing her organizational and instructional skills to the InterPlay classroom, and she often leads the foundational InterPlay Life Practice Program and mentors new leaders. She relishes sharing the joy of InterPlay far and wide, and supporting each participant in integrating InterPlay into their own lives!

TraceyJoy Miller
TraceyJoy has been InterPlaying since 1999. She discovered InterPlay in the Twin Cities, trained as an InterPlay leader in Oakland for three years; live and led InterPlay in the Seattle area for 12 years before returning to the Twin Cities in 2022. Since her 20’s she has studied and applied a variety of approaches to accessing the wisdom of her body and healing. And, she loves supporting others to do the same. She spent many years committed to working on herself; working to become “good enough”. Thankfully InterPlay has brought a balance of levity, playfulness, and community to her life long, sincere explorations as a human being. She considers herself a “Recovering Serious Person”.
