An InterPlay BIPOC Untensive

Tending the Soil: Embodying Our Wholeness

based on the book 'My Grandmothers' Hands
Foluke Beveridge, Ade Anifowose, Janice Eng, and Joan Greenwood

ONLINE

Sat & Sun, July 24 & 25, 2021 • See times below

Join InterPlay leaders Ade Anifowse & Foluke Beveridge, and Leaders-in-Training Joan Greenwood & Janice Eng, for a rich weekend of exploration and play for Black, Indigenous & People of Color (BIPOC). We will draw from the wisdom of Resmaa Menakem's powerful book My Grandmother's Hands.

"Today we’re at a reckoning. We... have an opportunity — and an obligation — to recognize the trauma embedded in our bodies; to accept the necessary pain of healing; and to move through and out of our trauma. This will enable us to mend our hearts and bodies." —Resmaa Menakem

We know that there is wisdom in our bodies. Over two days, using InterPlay forms, we will explore resilience; healing our embodied generational trauma and "somatic abolitionism". Together, we will move through and out of our trauma, mending our hearts and bodies, so that we can express our natural power and beauty. We look forward to sharing this journey with you.

The event will take place on Saturday & Sunday, July 24 & 25, 2021, with two sessions on Saturday and one on Sunday.
