"Anyone can slay a dragon, but try waking up everyday and loving the world all over again. That's what takes a REAL hero." Brian Andreas

It's been a long, challenging time since DC InterPlayers came together for a full weekend retreat. Our idea is a simple one. We will ecstatically follow our InterPlay leaders, eat healthy good food and reweave the community, all in the beautiful natural surroundings of Wellspring Retreat Center. Whether you are new to InterPlay, or you've been around a long time, join us for the magical medicine that is InterPlay. Be a REAL hero, and show up to fall in love with the world all over again through moving, sounding and telling stories together.

COVID POLICY: Vaccinations are required. Testing immediately prior to the event is required — at-home or PCR. Masks optional.

Cost: $250 for a single room; $450 for a double room

Registration/Information: Register with Kate Amoss by emailing katamoss@gmail.com

Leaders
Billy Amoss
Billy has been a certified InterPlay leader in the Washington, D.C. area for over 20 years. He delights in the power of InterPlay to bring us fully alive. Billy is the Executive Director of RVF, a DC-based non-profit development organization that finances and manages international children's health programs.
Kate Amoss
Kate Amoss, MA, LCPC, is an InterPlay Teacher and Professional Counselor in private practice. Trained in archetypal depth psychology, she has an abiding curiosity in all things hidden below surfaces -- deep roots, bedrock truths, neuro-biological processes, and ancestral antecedents. For her, InterPlay has offered the best toolbox of forms and practices with which to excavate the mysteries of ourselves and our world. She has decades of experience leading workshops, performances, and mentoring other InterPlayers. She co-founded The Big Yes Performance Group and co-led the InterPlay Life Practice Program in Washington DC.
Robin Carnes
Robin Carnes, MBA, Certified Yoga Therapist, is a Certified InterPlay Leader. She loves weaving InterPlay forms and principles into her work with a wide range of populations. Robin is a pioneer in bringing evidence -based yoga and meditation practice into mainstream settings such as the US Department of Defense, the Veterans Administration, Manhattan College, and Blackboard, Inc. Robin trains healthcare providers in using mind-body tools in their work with patients and has lectured internationally on Mind-Body approaches to mental health and stress conditions. In addition to her work with the military, Robin has offered Yoga Rhythmics and InterPlay workshops, classes, and retreats for many years, combining music and movement to create community and cultivate self-love.
Douglass Farnum
Since retiring, play deprived Douglass works hard at doing nothing. He finds that interplay complements his meditation and Non Violent Communication (NVC) practices. Doug co-leads life practice and men's retreat weekends in Washington DC. With more practice he hopes to have fun playing.
Liz Lescault
Liz Lescault, a visual artist and sculptor, has practiced, exhibited and taught art for over 40 years. She founded the DC Open Gathering and continues to coordinate the Open Gathering for the DC InterPlay community which serves the metropolitan region. She is also a member of the DC InterPlay Organizing Body. She currently leads  "Art Lab " for Smith Center and the Healing Arts. Formerly, Liz, was a hotline crisis counselor, for various suicide prevention lifelines and The Trevor Project providing help for LGBTQ youth in crisis and the Prince Georges County Homeless Hotline. Liz has also led InterPlay for elders with chronic illness and cognitive disabilities at Iona Senior Center in Washington DC.
Monisha Mittal
Monisha Mittal is Certfied Leader (CL) and Life Practice Program Leader (LPL) in the Washington DC region. Since 2018, InterPlay and a regular Dance Chapel practice has been an integral part of her Being and Becoming. She proudly served as a Dance Chaplain for four years since the pandemic which turned her into a poetry addict and spawned her Poetic Revelations writing series (now named: The (tiny) Voice of Big Love). Now a Somatic Coach and Play Architect, she holds sacred space for others to tune into their Body Wisdom in one-on-one sessions, classes, and courses through her Center for Somatic Leadership and Communication. She is grateful to InterPlay for awakening her authenticity, for the exponential connection and laughter its given her, and for supporting her daily recovery as a recovering overachiever.
