Ordinary people become testiments to the possibilities of a multicultural, intergenerational, mutii-faith world. An evening to re-ignite hope for human kind where passionate, funny, honest, real people create music, song, dance and story all on the spot and in the moment. Everything you see is created through the practice of InterPlay''s easy to learn improvisational forms of dance, mucis and storytelling, giving performers and audiences access to their full range of experience and expression.

Sheila K. Collins is the director of InterPlay Pittsburgh and the Wing & A Prayer Pittsburgh Players, an InterPlay-based performance troupe she founded in 2006 to assist human service agencies and art organizations in accomplishing their noble purposes. A former professional dancer, Sheila has described herself as a “dancing social worker” for over 40 years, throughout her careers as a therapist, social work professor, and writer.

She is the author of Stillpoint: A Playbook for Caregivers to Find Ease, Time to Breathe, and Reclaim Joy, which since its second edition, co-authored by Christine Gautreaux, has become a popular weekly online class, and Warrior Mother: Fierce Love, Unbearable Loss and the Rituals That Heal.

She’s been known to travel the country enlisting InterPlayers to help her Perform her Books, demonstrating how InterPlay tools help us get through life’s ordinary and extraordinary, “tough challenges”

Her latest book, The Art of Grieving: How Art and Artmaking Help Us Grieve, and Live Our Best Lives explores how the arts of storytelling, dance, music, and visual arts help mourners navigate episodes of grief, process loss, and extract meaning and wisdom for their future lives.

Masankho Banda

Masankho is a multi - disciplinary Performing Artist, Certified InterPlay Leader, Educator and PeaceBuilder. He brings many unique perspectives to his work around the world. He learned the fine arts of storytelling and dance from his Malawian culture spending many long days and nights listening to stories and dancing to music that captivated his mind, shaped his being, nourished his soul and strengthened his spirit. Using performing arts Masankho motivates and inspires people of all ages to work together to bring about peace, social justice and cultural understanding. In 1997, he started UCanDanc—African Healing Arts to bring his passion for dance and storytelling to communities around the world. Masankho has been a Certified InterPlay Leader since 1999.
