Wnen our personal stories InterPlay with our collective stories, ....Our Big Body Spirit Wisdom Is Awakened !

Storytelling is a magical, musical, mysterious art form which creates change within ourselves and the world around us. Stories happen at parties, on a city bus, on stage, at the dinner table, behind a pulpit, in a classroom, a prison, a court room, even in the confessional. We all have stories we carry, share or listen to. Like all art forms, storytelling can be practiced, and with practice, comes the grace, ease, comfort and peace of mastery.

This InterPlay retreat will feature live music from a few gifted local Austin musicians, and all musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments. InterPlay is fun, safe, completely self-paced, sacred and profound enough to allow room for the poetically profane and/or slightly subversive streak in all of us! InterPlay is adaptable to most social situations and cultures, making it the perfect tool for bridging racial, generational and religious gaps.

Come prepared to move and dance, sing and chant, whine and rant to what ever degree you feel able and comfortable. And as always, we will be allowing lots of room for stillness. It’s from our stillness, that we are most able to see, hear and share our beauty, truth and wisdom.

This will be a musing weekend facilitated by MASANKHO KAMSISI BANDA, MA, recipient of the May 2003, Unsung Heroes of Peace Award from the Dalai Lama. Masankho is a highly sought after International InterPlay Leader, Educator, Motivational Storyteller, African Dancer/Drummer/ Healer, Conflict Resolution Facilitator/ Peace Builder.

Due to requests of out of town participants, we will be wrapping the weekend up at 3:30 pm, with an optional, celebratory, ‘Seeding Cultures of Peace” Fake Performance for a small, live audience invited by local Austin participants.
