Sunday, August 31st, 10 to 4pm at InterPlayce!!

Join InterPlay Leaders Colleen "Coke" Tani Nakamoto and Masankho for an day of Play to uncover the bare essentials of sexuality and sensuality. InterPlay is a wonderful tool for exploring all aspects of life and we have decided to explore these two. With humor, individual insights, songs, drums, stillness and as many InterPlay forms we can fit into 6 hours let us lift the curtain and reveal and share what we know and discover what we have yet to learn from each other.

Some of the issues we will explore:

- What do men really want?
- What do women really want?
- Is there a difference between sexuality and sensuality
- Is conversation really foreplay?
- When the bodyspirit says No, is it really an inside-out Yes?
- The role of food, music, dance, touch etc
- What we know for sure.....
- And so much more.....

Masankho Banda is an International InterPlay Leader, Performing Artist and Healer, originally from Malawi. Masankho has led InterPlay all over the United States and around the World. He brings the teachings of his Elders to his work.

Colleen "Coke" Tani Nakamoto is a Dance/Theatre artist, local InterPlay leader, and body-based facilitator. She has presented original works on the west coast and embraces performance as a spiritual practice. She has also danced her way from incapacitation to wellness, out of closets into open space!

InterPlayce is the center of the InterPlay universe. The offices for Body Wisdom, Inc. are also located here. The building is at the corner of 23rd and Telegraph, one block north of West Grand. It is just a few blocks from the 19th Street Downtown Oakland BART station, and on several convenient bus lines. On-street parking is always available at night and metered during the day. Coke Tani
Coke is a body memoirist, dancer, soul care provider, and teacher/facilitator. Coke has co-led InterPlay's Life Practice and Leader Training Programs, and served as InterPlay's Liaison to Leaders of Color. Currently, she leads InterPlay in a variety of in-person and online settings, and mentors leaders-in-training. She also offers private 1:1 focus sessions (aka embodied spiritual direction), valuing all the ways this practice decolonizes the ways we know and live. She serves InterPlay's Racial Equity & Transformation efforts through its Culture & Curriculum Pod and its Advisory Council. In former years, Coke was a community-based therapist, solo performer, and Wing It! ensemble member.

Masankho Banda

Masankho is a multi - disciplinary Performing Artist, Certified InterPlay Leader, Educator and PeaceBuilder. He brings many unique perspectives to his work around the world. He learned the fine arts of storytelling and dance from his Malawian culture spending many long days and nights listening to stories and dancing to music that captivated his mind, shaped his being, nourished his soul and strengthened his spirit. Using performing arts Masankho motivates and inspires people of all ages to work together to bring about peace, social justice and cultural understanding. In 1997, he started UCanDanc—African Healing Arts to bring his passion for dance and storytelling to communities around the world. Masankho has been a Certified InterPlay Leader since 1999.
