Join Masankho for an evening of Healing and/or Celebrating. When translated to English Masankho’s full name means; choosing new roots for groups of people". Masankho invites you to come for a day of celebrating the highs and healing the lows of life''s journey. This is an invitation to find new roots that will bring ease, joy, grace and abundance to your life. With drums, dance, chanting, Interplay, silence and using all the elements (earth, fire, water & air) you will be taken on a magical journey. With care, following the teachings of his elders from Malawi and using some InterPlay forms you will at the end of the evening emerge with new insights and inspiring transformations.

Who is this evening for? Anyone who is making a new beginning by tackling issues that need Healing or Resolving and/or Celebrating triumphs and transitions in these and other arenas of life: Family, Work, Career, Finances, Health, Relationships, Grief, Birth, Forgiveness, etc .....

See site website for map and picture. Directions to the Asheville Friends (Quaker) Meetinghouse: From I-240, take exit #5, Merimmon Ave. Head north, away from downtown. Turn Left at the CVS onto Edgewood. Go just a couple blocks. You'll see Chatham St heading off to the left. Turn RIGHT directly across and after that, onto a gravel driveway up a hill, with a small sign for "Asheville Friends Meeting" above a low stone wall. The Meetinghouse is set back and not clearly visible from the road. Plenty of parking in the gravel lot. Yay! You made it!

Masankho Banda

Masankho is a multi - disciplinary Performing Artist, Certified InterPlay Leader, Educator and PeaceBuilder. He brings many unique perspectives to his work around the world. He learned the fine arts of storytelling and dance from his Malawian culture spending many long days and nights listening to stories and dancing to music that captivated his mind, shaped his being, nourished his soul and strengthened his spirit. Using performing arts Masankho motivates and inspires people of all ages to work together to bring about peace, social justice and cultural understanding. In 1997, he started UCanDanc—African Healing Arts to bring his passion for dance and storytelling to communities around the world. Masankho has been a Certified InterPlay Leader since 1999.
