These non-residential workshop/retreats at Nyland Cohousing Commons House in Lafayette, CO, cover the techniques and body wisdom principles of InterPlay. Two tracks of participation are available with some common time as a large group.

The Untensive Track:

At this InterPlay retreat, you will learn simple, fun ways to find out more about yourself and to experience the transforming power of community. Expect to laugh, relax, connect, play, move and be moved. Learn ways to have more ease in your life in a deeply affirming environment. People of all sizes, shapes, colors and abilities are welcome!

The Secrets Track:

"The Secrets of InterPlay" is a non-residential multi-day workshop that covers the techniques and body wisdom principles of InterPlay and focuses on leading an embodied life of wholeness, joy and new possibilties. This event includes presentation, play, discussion and reflection. The Secrets of InterPlay is part of the core curriculum for those enrolled in or considering the InterPlay Life Practice Program, and will be led by InterPlay co-founder Cynthia Winton-Henry. This workshop is also open to those desiring an in-depth introduction to InterPlay.

Thursday, August 20th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm (Open Night to the Public--Free)

Friday AND Saturday, August 21st and 22nd, Morning Session, 9:30 -12, Afternoon Session, 1:30 - 4:00, Evening Session, 7:00 - 9:00.

Sunday, August 23rd, 1:30 - 4:00, Afternoon Session and Closing.

Accommodations

The Boulder Outlook Hotel (800 28th St., Boulder, CO 80303, 1-800-542-0304, will offer rooms to participants (Say you're attending the InterPlay event) at the rate of $99 (Th) and $109 (F & S) as long as rooms are available.

Meal planning is in the works. Some additional expense($12-$15) per person for a couple of catered dinners is likely. More details available upon registration.

Body Wisdom BCEU approval # 2583. Course meets the qualification for 20 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Refunds will be given up to two days before the event minus a $20 processing fee.

Cost: UNTENSIVE: $295 by August 6th/ $320 after; SECRETS: $395 by August 6th/ $420 after. A Daily rate of $120 is available for the UNTENSIVE retreat, OR $40 per session.

Elizabeth Mendana Shaw
Elizabeth Mendana, MFA, is a member of the InterPlay-based Wing It! Performance Ensemble in Oakland, CA and is an international InterPlay leader and performer. She is versed in dance, theatre, and stage wisdom with a special gift for caring about people and art at the same time. The San Francisco Chronicle has called her dancing "Stunning" and "Hypnotic". She has performed with several San Francisco choreographers as well as presenting her own creative work with her company Mendana Productions. She has recently relocated to Seattle where she hopes to continue creating performance art, teach Pilates, and make a home.
