ONLINE

6 weeks Starting January 20th
Wednesdays 1pm pt / 2pm mt / 3pm ct / 4pm et

We are excited about offering this 6 week series to bring joy and motivation back to education. Students who enroll will not only have fun and interact with kids their age but will also find a newer perspective on online learning. Participants will be asked to engage their communication skills and expand their expression vocabulary. Students will be given life tools that can be applied to school motivation for example greater self-reliance, greater confidence, and self-assertion, better ability to express oneself.

This offering will be grounded in the work of InterPlay which is using movement, storytelling, voice, and stillness to build community connections and help people gain a sense of inner authority. We will combine highly interactive “games” with reflective questions to accelerate ‘learning’ and transformation through multiple intelligences. This course will develop the social-emotional skills as they gain a deeper understanding of self in relation to others. In the final class, we will invite the parents or guardians to come and join the class for a final sharing of all the tools the students have gained throughout the course.

Monisha Mittal
Monisha Mittal is Certfied Leader (CL) and Life Practice Program Leader (LPL) in the Washington DC region. Since 2018, InterPlay and a regular Dance Chapel practice has been an integral part of her Being and Becoming. She proudly served as a Dance Chaplain for four years since the pandemic which turned her into a poetry addict and spawned her Poetic Revelations writing series (now named: The (tiny) Voice of Big Love). Now a Somatic Coach and Play Architect, she holds sacred space for others to tune into their Body Wisdom in one-on-one sessions, classes, and courses through her Center for Somatic Leadership and Communication. She is grateful to InterPlay for awakening her authenticity, for the exponential connection and laughter its given her, and for supporting her daily recovery as a recovering overachiever.
